When Texas Counter Fitters approached us about their annual charity event for local nonprofit Dwell with Dignity for the 2nd year in a row, there were a lot of new moving parts to make this Art+Color Party special! Our client had a strong vision for a celebration of artists in the community and a huge network of people willing to help, including the artists who donated their work for silent auction benefiting Dwell with Dignity. Pre-production involved a lot of coordination with vendors: securing bartenders, preparing floor plans to accommodate staging and AV requirements, and sourcing print options for collateral distributed to guests. To bring even more attention to the work that Dwell does, we worked with their team to produce a looping slide deck to project on a wall in the showroom highlighting their work and encouraging others to help, as well as a unique photo opportunity to raise awareness.

This year’s Art+Color Party included a surprise song and dance performance by Broadway Dallas. Finding a way to fit all the staging and AV gear needed to pull off a successful performance in a warehouse full of natural stone slabs was a challenge, but Pixl and the stellar AV team at Inspire worked closely with the choreographers to make the most of the space. We had a total of three rehearsals to get this right—and Broadway Dallas stole the show! And because of the Broadway Dallas tie-in, we suggested we make the program listing the artists and performers resemble the classic Playbill that Broadway shows are known for. Prior to event day, we also distributed 1-pagers to relevant parties with all the information they needed for a successful event.

It’s showtime! Our team arrived early on event day to monitor load-in and to ensure every item we ordered was accounted for and in good condition. In just three hours, the warehouse was transformed and ready to go for over 400 attendees. In addition to the community showing up to support Dwell, the Mayor of Richardson also stopped by for a belated ribbon-cutting ceremony for TCF.
